As Krysta steps onto the rickety porch, she sees Lucas coming through the gate and towards them. (Thank God. I don't wanna be left alone with this prick.) Of course, she means Cortez. But had she known why he had followed her, she might have given him a little more slack. But this silent truce was all she could handle right now.
"This place is amazing," She comments, craning her neck around to see it. But rather than go inside, she walks a few feet to the right, waiting for Lucas to join them. She didn't know if Argelico would do anything to save her if Cortez tried something stupid. Not that she couldn't take him. She'd often wished he'd do something to cause her to give him the beating she so desperately wanted to. So far, nothing. But going into this place alone, er, almost alone, with him might be bad for both their healths.
She sees Lucas come up and whisper something into Cortez's ear. From the snarl on his face, it was quite threatening. Krysta feels all warm and fuzzy inside, with a hint of envy. She wanted to be the one to threaten him. But Lucas was always able to do it just as effectively. She glances at Argel0ica, almost wishing no one had joined them. Oh the fun she could have with this boy. But, they had other concerns. Get help, fix the bus, and get moving. This heat was horrifyingly disgusting. The fiery red-head wishes she had a bit more clothes on just so she coudl remove them to feel some repreive.
