Title: The Hunted OST
Description: Every film has one

Lucas - July 17, 2007 10:31 AM (GMT)
This is an idea I came up with a few days ago. Every film has a collection of about 20 or so songs used throughout the film, sometimes including a piece of original composition for the film and as we're RPing our own horror movie, it makes sense that it should have its own soundtrack.

What I'm looking for are suggestions of 19 songs to put together into a playlist with a peice of original composition that I'm gonna whip up over the summer. And I'll see if I can whip up covers and stuff too.

This is a B R I L L I A N T idea Jon!! :D

Hmm, some song suggestions...
  • No Sleep Tonight by The Faders
  • Sleep Like A Child by Joss Stone
  • Ring The Alarm by Beyoncé (inspired by the jealous Cortez plot )

I love that idea, Jon! I'm gonna see what I can dig up!!

John, do I see a 'sleep' trend in the music? Is that fluke or by design?

::EDIT:: HA! I just noticed that my Member Title says Slasher Fodder. That's funny.

It was just a coincidence, but I think all three songs are great for a Horror Movie Soundtrack. :)

Krysta - July 17, 2007 07:04 PM (GMT)
lol okay. -goes hunting-

Rumer - July 17, 2007 09:10 PM (GMT)
  • just a thought Gnarls Barkley
  • the boogie monster gnarls barkley
  • 24 Jem
  • Enter Sandman Metallica
  • Master of Puppets Metallica

"Just a thought" more for the beat and tempo and "The Boogie Monster" well because of the title.

I really really think that "Master of Puppets" is a great one.

Lucas - July 17, 2007 09:25 PM (GMT)
And all of the current suggestions are on my list except for that second Gnarls Barkley one 'cause i can't find it.

Rumer - July 17, 2007 09:29 PM (GMT)
Lyrics wise or downloading the song wise? Cause I can send it to you if you want.

Lucas - July 17, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)
I'm on about actually downloading it 'cause yeah, I download it and it keeps coming up as a different song when I open it.

Rumer - July 17, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
I'll send it to you through MSN.

Lucas - July 17, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
Okay, here's my few songs to add to the list:
  • Highway to Hell - AC DC
  • King of The Road - Rufus Wainwright and Teddy Thompson
  • Shiela's Wheels - The Shielas

John - July 17, 2007 10:10 PM (GMT)
So we have 11 tracks already? Cool. :) So that means 8 more spots are available, not including the original composition that will be made by Jon.

Lucas - July 17, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
I'm planning on collecting more than 19 so that we can see what works best with which other songs, I'll probably come up with about 4 or 5 different mixes of the same however many songs we get in the end and let people vote before I start making the artwork. So really, just keep adding so that we get a good mix of different stuff.

PS. look up Shielas wheels on youtube, it'll give you all some giggles.

John - July 17, 2007 10:15 PM (GMT)
Ah, cool that's a good idea. I'll have to think of some new suggestions.

Lucas - February 23, 2008 12:14 PM (GMT)
I'm still waiting on suggestions from people... everyone kinda stopped

I just thought i'd let you know that the original composition i'll be submitting as part of the soundtrack is actually almost complete. It's the second movement of my piano sonata in B minor. And once we get a decent set of tracks so that i can put together a full playlist, I'll put it up so you all can have it.

Argelico - March 24, 2008 09:45 AM (GMT)
Sympathy for the Devil Guns & Roses
One Step Closer Linkin Park

Lucas - March 24, 2008 02:16 PM (GMT)
And the latest suggestions have been added to the list. Any more out there?
I just realised that's 20 songs, 21 when you count my one.
Another Edit... the original piece is found here for those who wish to download it. I apologise for it being so quiet, but i can't figure out how to make it louder yet.

Rumer - March 24, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
I downloaded the composition! And I love it! I can so imagine this playing over the end credits of the film or something!

Lucas - March 25, 2008 12:11 AM (GMT)
I'm glad you like it, I originally intended it to be a musical cue for the actual "film" but that'd be kinda difficult since we don't have any actual film to work with. So yeah, it works as a piece for the closing credits.

Krysta - March 25, 2008 02:59 AM (GMT)
-applauds- But I knew it would be awesome.

And crap I thought I had Sympathy For the Devil ... Oh well. You got it up there. lol
